While David Bowie was initially rumoured to be headlining New York’s High Line Festival, it appears that Bowie is the latest celebrity to be asked to turn curator.
“The request was for me to choose artists and acts that I myself would go out of my way to see” Bowie said. Several acts on Bowie’s wishlist have already confirmed, they include Arcade Fire, Air, Deerhoof, Secret Machines and The Polyphonic Spree.
Comedian Ricky Gervaisis also slated to appear.
The Festival will run between May 9 and 19 at venues near the High Line railway line on the west side of Manhattan.
