Organisers of the O2 Wireless Festival have released the initial lineup for this year’s event. The series of concerts, held over five days in June, features The White Stripes’ only UK performances, as well as Daft Punk, Faithless, and Kaiser Chiefs.
The White Stripes will headline the first day of the festival on June 14, appearing alongside Queens of the Stone Age in London’s Hyde Park. Faithless and Badly Drawn Boy will perform the Friday night, while Daft Punk and CSS will play the Saturday before Kaiser Chiefs, Editors and The Rakes round things off on Sunday June 17.
The Leeds leg of the tour begins on the Friday night and also features camping within the grounds of stately home Harewood House. The White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age will play the Friday night, hometown heroes Kaiser Chiefs close the Saturday night and Daft Punk headline the final night.
Tickets for the Leeds and London events go on sale this Friday (March 16). Head to www.o2wirelessfestival.co.uk for more details.
