The Police confirm morecomeback gigs

After confirming an extensive North American tour The Police have announced plans to take their reunion tour around Europe, starting this August. Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers returned to the headlines when they reunited for the first time since their 1986 split to perform their hit Roxanne at the Grammy Awards this year.

As well as dates in the USA and Canada and a performance at Live Earth on July 7, the band will start a European tour in Stockholm on August 29. While several sources have tipped the trio to visit Australia after the European tour winds up, no dates have been confirmed.

Dates confirmed so far for the European tour:

August 29: Globe Arena, Stockholm
September 4: National Indoor Arena, Birmingham
September 8: Twickenham Stadium, London
September 11: AOL Arena, Hamburg
September 13: Amsterdam Arena
September 16: Prague Sazka
September 19: Vienna Stadthalle
September 22: Olympiastadion, Munich
September 27: Olympic Stadium, Barcelona
September 29: Stade de France, Paris
October 13: LTU Arena, Dusseldorf
October 15: MEN Arena, Manchester
October 19: Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

I was checking out the prices for some of the shows in North America on Ticketmaster - Ouch! Prices vary between $US55.50 - $US300.00 for platinum seats. I find it really selfish that a band can charge this much after being absent from the tour circuit f
