Fresh from well and truly conquering Australia late last year, Robbie Williams looks set to win over even more fans through a new collaboration with veteran pop supremos, Pet Shop Boys.
The single ‘She’s Madonna’, taken from the chart-topping ‘Rudebox’ album, will be out March 10 and sees Williams, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe finally making good on their long-held promise of forming a super-group. If that doesn’t sound like enough to get you up on the dancefloor, the single will be backed by new mixes courtesy of Kris Menace & Chris Lake which certainly should.
As we have come to expect, ‘She’s Madonna’ will be accompanied by an iconic video clip. This time some LA’s most famous and infamous drag queens get their chance to shine in a clip made with Swedish director Johan Renck, whose previous video credits include William’s ‘Trippin’ promo and videos for the likes of Beyonce, The Streets and Madonna herself.
In other Robbie news, our man has been nominated at the 2007 Brit Awards for Best British Live Act, alongside George Michael, Guillemots, Kasabian and Muse. The awards will be announced at Earls Court, London on February 14.
Pet Shop Boys will be touring Australia in March and April as part of the V Festival.
