Soulfly have confirmed on their official website that bassist Bobby Burns suffered a stroke last week.
“Last week, one of our own, Bobby Burns suffered a mild stroke and was immediately hospitalised,” the statement read.
“He was ordered to remain under the care of a doctor until he was fully recovered, and although we are happy to report that he has already been released from the hospital, we are extremely sad that he will not be able to play bass on Soulfy’s upcoming US tour. No one has been confirmed to fill in on bass for him yet but as soon as the announcement is made, it will be posted here.”
Soulfly are continuing to tour in support new album Dark Ages, which is available now.
All at Fasterlouder wish Burns and his family all the best over the next few months.
