Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton is recovering from radiation treatment for throat cancer and shall be sitting out the beginning of the rock band’s upcoming Route of All Evil tour, according to band publicist, Marcee Rondan.
Hamilton, 55, will spend the next few weeks recovering with his family after completing a seven-week radiation treatment, Rondan said on Thursday. Hamilton will join the tour in mid-October.
Aerosmith’s tour is set to launch September 5 in Columbus, Ohio, according to the band’s website.
