Shaun Morgan, lead singer of South African hard rock band Seether, has checked himself into rehabilitation just after their acoustic album One Cold Night was released. Although the substance Morgan used was not revealed, it has meant cancelling some tour dates in the US with Staind and Three Days Grace. But at least he’s making an effort himself to kick the habit.

Morgan said in a statement, “I’m deeply sorry that this news comes right before a planned tour, especially one that I was so excited about, and I hope that everyone understands. I need help with addictions that I can’t kick on my own. These things are making me sick, and could potentially harm me permanently.”

It is unknown whether his time in rehab will affect the release date of Seether’s new studio album, set to be out in May of next year.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first!
