The return of chick rock starts here. Crucified Barbara are four females from Stockholm Sweden; a skintight, leather, beer swilling machine with bone-splintering sleaze guitar.
Those of you pining for L7, or too embarrassed to buy anything with Courtney Love on it (fair enough), will be gratified to hear of Crucified Barbara, a bunch of broads who come complete with big ass riffs and comedy metal names that would have Manowar giggling into their mead. Which leads you to ask is this just the product of four angry young ladies playing dress up? Or can they actually rock out? The Answer is they ROCK AND THEY LIKE THEIR ROCK HARD!!
Musically, their raw, hyper-commercial, heavy metal songs mix brutality with a love for melody. Let’s just imagine this as The Runaways crossed with Motorhead, keeping it hot in the early 80s!
Crucified Barbaras debut album In Distortion We Trust was released in early 2005 Worldwide by the GMR Music Group and in U.S.A by Liquor and Poker / Century Media on May 3oth 2006 .
In 2006 the girls earned European supports with Guns n Roses (2006 reformation). Motorhead , Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Wasp, Velvet Revolver, System of a Down, In Flames, and Sepultura.
If you were as disappointed by the last Donnas album, there are gonna be some new girls in town and they’re damn tough!
