No new albums for the Pixies
Fri 7th Jul, 2006 in International News
In an interview with Uncut magazine, Frank Black declared that the Pixies would never make another album.
As much as Black would love the notion of the reformed band recording together once more, apparently not all the members are up for the challenge.
Black has resigned himself to touring with the band instead. He told Uncut: “I wish it could go a bit further again and we could make a record. Not all of the band-members are willing to do that. Rather than make a big deal out of it, we’ve agreed to just continue to play live.”
Black wants to also assure fans that his rift with bass player Kim Deal (one of the many reasons behind the band’s break up) has mended too, stating: ”Now, if we’re on tour together, we hang out, we hug. We have some good conversations, I suppose.”
