Axl Rose Arrested

Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose has spent the night in jail after being arrested in Stolkholm. The charges: damaging property, assaulting a security guard and threatening police. Rose apparently caused a ruckus whilst partying on after the band’s sold out show at the Globe Arena.
The singer allegedly got in a fight with a security guard at an after-party following the show. According to the Afdonbladet newspaper, Rose was ”aggressive and acting out” after his arrest and had to be handcuffed.
Prior to the event, GN’R and members of their crew had been partying at Cafe Opera post show; when things started to wind down, the band moved the festivities to the Bern Hotel (where they were staying) – it is here that Axl’s trouble began with witnesses reporting Rose got in a fight with a woman at the hotel bar.
When security guards tried to break things up, the rocker began brawling with them too and broke a mirror in the hotel’s reception area. One of the guards, who was allegedly hit and bitten on the leg by Rose, was taken to hospital for evaluation. Rose then threatened an officer after police were called to try and restore the peace.
While it was initially suggested Rose would be detained in Stockholm (as the judge viewed him as a flight risk). The GN’R singer was eventually released after spending 12 hours in lock up. Prosecutor Fredrik Ingblad ordered Rose’s release after Rose signed a statement admitting to minor assault of a security guard and damaging hotel property.
Ingblad ordered Rose to pay a fine of 40 000 kronor and damages of 10 000 kronor for hitting the guard and biting him in the leg.
