The guys from South African band Seether have been extremely productive over the past year or so. Their US debut album, Disclaimer released back in 2002, has been certified gold in the US with the rest of the world just starting to discover who they are.

In the mean time they have been doing countless tours across the US with acts such as Evanescence and have recorded a couple of songs for the soundtrack to the blockbuster movie, The Punisher. This includes a remix of the Disclaimer single Broken, featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence.

Seether have also headed back to the recording studios to finish work on their upcoming release, Disclaimer II.  According to the band’s official site, Disclaimer II is an album featuring remixed and remastered Disclaimer audio, plus 8 additional tracks all of which 4 are completely brand new songs. The CD will also come with a bonus DVD containing live and behind the scenes footage of their recent tours, along with all 4 Seether videos including the new video to Broken, featuring Amy Lee.

Their sound has often been likened to groups such as Nirvana and Staind, with the lead singer/guitarist Shaun Morgan acknowledging in the past that Nirvana is a group who has definitely influenced them.

Seether are definitely a group to check out if you haven’t already and whilst there isn’t a release date for Disclaimer II in Australia, the album is due for it’s US release in June.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first!
