Triifid fans take note: the remastered repackaged classic album Born Sandy Devotional will hit the shelves in Australia on June 17. To celebrate, band members Rob McComb, Alsy MacDonald, Martyn Casey, Jill Birt and ‘Evil’ Graham Lee, will jet off to Belgium from their various homes around the globe for a series of shows and exhibitions.
The first stop on this travelling bandwagon will be in Hasselt, Belgium, where the band will be special guests at the launch of a Triffids’ exhibition. Titled An Evening With The Triffids (in remembrance of lead singer David McComb – who died in 1999) the event will include Triffids’ performances with guest singer Mark Snarski (The Jackson Code), and local Belgian musicians and vocalists.
The band will then set across country for Amsterdam, followed by London where the band will unveil a commemorative plaque at the studio where Born Sandy Devotional was recorded.
