As we all heard earlier this week when the infamous rock queen hit the headlines with rumours of a likely Moby collaboration, Courtney Love is buckled down and hard at work on her sophomore solo effort.

After 2004’s debut flop America’s Sweetheart, Love is set on winning back her crown with this next effort and a whole guest cast of hit savers are already jumping onboard the project, hoping to pick her crumbled mess from the floor and restore her to her former rock glamour glory!

Linda Perry, the former 4 Non Blonde, who has for the past 10 years been riding on her own solo career and putting pen to paper to help the likes of Pink, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani climb the charts at a rapid pace is determined to be the woman to do that job. Speaking to MTV recently, the singer/producer says that things have been going well with the project so far “She’s really focused, pleasure to be around, looks great, sounds great, really great ideas, great songs she’s written … so rehab was really good,” she joked. “My job now is to make that (Courtney Love) rock and roll record that everybody’s gonna love.”

And it’s definitely not likely to end up in the bottom of the $5 box of used CD stores, as her last effort so quickly did. “That woman is brilliant, and I can’t allow myself as a music lover and someone who really respects that artist to go down with America’s Sweetheart. That record sucked. She knows it. The world knows it. It was a horrible, crap-ass record” stated Perry matter of factly.
