The Raconteurs have been getting lots of radio play on Triple J, and now it’s finally time for you to take them home. Consisting of the ever-dashing Jack White (of White Stripes fame), fellow blues rockers Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of established band The Greenhornes (who recently toured as part of the Big Day Out), along with producer and talented one-man-band Brendan Benson, The Raconteurs are here to define genres and take on the world… well, in a sort of radio-friendly/bluesy/explosive/ballad-y kind of way.
Single “Steady, As She Goes” is set to be released by Third Man Records/V2 Records on May 9th. Three different versions will be available so save up kids! The CD will contain the b-side “The Bane Rendition”, one 7” will also have “Store Bought Bones” (available to listen to on their website) and the other 7” has an acoustic version of “Steady, As She Goes” along with b-side, “Call It A Day”.
Mark the date in your diaries and grab a copy. Don’t forget to check out their website http://www.theraconteurs.com – the 1982 DOS format is awesome!
