Placebo Preview New Tracks InLondon

Hundreds of fans turned up at Club Koko in Camden, London last night for a not-so-secret Placebo appearance. A posting on their website informed fans that they would be filming the video for upcoming British single Because I Want You at the trendy club and that the first 300 lucky punters who showed up at 6.30 would get to feature in the video and maybe even be treated to other tracks.

Despite icy temperatures in the city scores of people showed up outside the venue and queued for over an hour before being turned away. Those who did make it in were also treated to a seven song set showcasing new tracks as well as classics Nancy Boy and The Bitter End. The single will be released in early March in the UK while the first single released elsewhere in the world will be Song to Say Goodbye. The new album Meds is to be released in mid-March.
