Happy 25th Birthday 4AD!

4AD the label responsible for releasing music and nurturing musical careers of the Cocteau Twins, The Birthday Party, The Breeders, The Pixies, Kristen Hersh, The The, The Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance, Thievery Corporation, Mojave 3, Gus Gus and more recently Australia’s own Wolf & Cub and many more are holding their 25th Anniversary celebrations in London.

The Breeders are scheduled to play several shows with bassist Josephine Wiggs playing her first shows with the band since the early ‘90s. Other appearances were Kristen Hersh playing one show of Throwing Muses songs and the next her solo projects from Hips and Makers onwards; Blonde Redhead, the Mountain Goats, Minotaur Shock, Mojave 3 and Mark Kozelek. 

To coincide with the anniversary the label are releasing a compilation which explores the label’s 25 year history as well as a deluxe Cocteau Twins 4 CD box set and follow-up to the label’s founder Ivo Watts-Russell’s Hope Blister.
