Billy Corgan and Jess Veronicasplit

Billy Corgan and Jess Origliasso from The Veronicas have decided to call it quits after two years together.

“It’s one of those things,” Origliasso told the always reputable Daily Telegraph ‘Confidential’ column. “It’s really difficult when you spend so much time apart… [but] we worked with him on this album and he is an incredible friend to have.”

Corgan will appear on The Veronicas soon-to-be-released album Life On Mars on a track which he says features “strange aggressive rapping” and “a kinda heavy metal song with a super demonic Black Sabbath type riff” and has taken time out from pissing on Radiohead and his former bandmates to defend Origliasso from post-breakup abuse on Twitter.
