Mick Jagger, Arcade Fire andthe Foo Fighters on SNL
Fri 18th May, 2012 in International News
The 2011-12 season of Saturday Night Live (the show’s 37th season) has featured it’s fair share of musical guests including Radiohead, Florence and The Machine, Bon Iver, Sleigh Bells, Jack White, an endlessly debated appearance from Lana Del Rey and even a sketch featuring Gotye and a naked Andy Samberg.
The season finale will almost certainly top all of that with guest host Mick Jagger set to be joined by Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, and Jeff Beck. Jagger has appeared on the show three times before, but this will be his first time carrying the whole show. This will be Dave Grohl’s twelfth appearance following performances with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures and an appearance with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
The season finale will air this weekend. Watch the promo reel for the show to see Mick Jagger and Kristen Wiig waste magic and hear Jagger try out his Australian accent: “I’m just a kid from Woolamaloo that loves kissing kangaroos”
