First Listen: Jack White -'Sixteen Saltines'

Jack White has given fans a second taste of his hotly anticipated solo album, dropping new single Sixteen Saltines on BBC1 overnight . Having already sweetened us up with the delicate tune Love Interruption, White’s latest effort – with its twisted, wailing guitar riffs and falsetto-like vocals – treads much closer to White Stripes territory than the Ruby Amanfu duet.
Due out on April 23rd Jack White has said of Blunderbuss “I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colours on my own canvas.”
