First Listen: Rocketjuice andThe Moon

Damon Albarn is rather fond of supergroups and so it’s not too surprising that his new crew Rocketjuice and The Moon features Red Hot Chilli Peppers’s bassist Flea and Afro-funk legend Tony Allen. Add folks like Erykah Badu and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble to the mix and you’ve got one hell of an exciting album.

The group’s self-titled debut, which also features lesser known guests including Fatoumata Diawara, M.anifest and Cheick Tidiane Seck, is due out on March 23rd.
