Slipknot frontman records withDave Grohl

Dave Grohl clearly has a very wide music palette; having just finished up a collaboration with 80s hair metal survivors Ratt –the Foo Fighters frontman has moved onto something a little heavier, teaming up with Slipknot fronman Corey Taylor to make some (not so sweet) music.
Taylor tweeted excitedly yesterday: “HUGE checks off the Bucket List today — did a song with Dave Grohl and Butch Vig. Do the words ‘holy shit’ say enough about it?!?”
While Taylor is yet to confirm what the song would be used for, there is a good chance it could appear on the forthcoming Stone Sour record. Speaking with FL only last month Taylor revealed that he has been “writing almost non-stop” on his side project and put to bed claims that a new Slipknot record is in the works: “You know, I’m not even thinking about writing another (Slipknot) album right now. I’m just not there yet you know. But I mean, we’re going to put together a really good set, but right now, it just makes more sense to trample together with the band, and not run into a studio, and do things for the wrong reasons, let’s put it that way.”
