Dave Grohl's new hair metalproject
Fri 6th Jan, 2012 in International News
Hard rockin’ renaissance man Dave Grohl has probably played with more iconic musicians than anyone else in the history of music, but if his latest move is any indication, reputations count for nothing when he chooses his collaborators. Rumour has it that joining the revered likes of Kurt Cobain, Josh Homme, Lemmy, John Paul Jones and Brian May in the great man’s rolodex are LA hair metal survivors Ratt.
According to Noise Creep and Ratt singer Stephen Pearcy’s twitter account, Grohl has recorded a new track with Pearcy and guitarist Warren DeMartini, for a project currently known only as TBA. The news may come as a disappointment to Them Crooked Vultures fans, who are due for some new material between QOTSA/Foo Fighters album cycles. Everyone else, though, should be mightily intrigued; a Probot reboot? A new direction altogether? Watch this space.
