Hate Nickleback? LoveNICKELBLOCK!

Much like the Detroit Lions fans who recently rose up in angry protest at the news that Nickelback would be performing the halftime set at the team’s Thanksgiving Day game, we don’t exactly have a lot of love for the ‘music’ coughed up by Nickleback.

So we’re happy to bring you the news that some tech nerds have developed an ingenious program called ‘NICKELBLOCK’ that promises to make sure that you will never have to read any news about the band online ever again. That’s right – all mentions of Chad Kroeger’s paddle-pop lion face and bloated bro-rock will be exorcised from your browser. It won’t completely remove the articles from your sight, but it will blackout the word ‘Nickelback’ anyway – and that’s a damn good start.

People bringing up Nickelback is like bringing up The Game, except instead of losing the game, I have to spend the rest of the day with "How You Remind Me" floating around my head, and I end up hating my brain.

Mwahaha, I actually Googled BieberBlock and our posts came up among top search results.

Well, the top of my subjective "hate" list is reserved for Katy Perry. I mean, Nickelback is unpleasant, but it doesn't give me the feeling my ears will start to bleed any minute. However, it's true that I don't remember hearing their songs for a long time... I guess it comes down to personal experience of forced radio listening. :D

But I think I get it why they're so hated - while Bieber and the like are openly cheap poster boys and girls, Nickelback is actually supposed to be a "rock band"... which makes it much worse.

P.S. And gawd now I have [SIZE=1]How You Remind Me stuck in my head. *Runs away from this thread to preserve sanity*
