The 25 best basslines of alltime

Musicradar, the site that declared last year that Dream Theater’s John Myung is the best bassist of all time, has compiled a list of the 25 best basslines of all time.

Apparently almost 10,000 punters voted in their poll with a baffling 23 percent of those voters declaring that Muse’s 2003 track Hysteria features the best bass line of all time. At least we can be thankful that there are Dream Theater songs on the list.

Electronic or synthesized basslines weren’t eligible for inclusion on the list, as all entries had to be played “by human hands”.

The 25 best basslines of all time:
1.Hysteria – Muse (Chris Wolstenholme)
