Damon + Flea + Tony Allen =Rocketjuice and The Moon

Damon Albarn’s album collaboration with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and afrobeat legend Tony Allen will be released under the dubious name “Rocketjuice and The Moon”.
Albarn revealed the name during an interview with The Irish Times, telling them that he’s not responsible for the strange name “Someone in Lagos did the sleeve design and that’s the name he gave it, which suits me because trying to find a name for another band is always tricky.”
At least the name is better than the horrid title that the Flea and the rest of the Red Hot Chili Peppers had been threatening to use for their new album – Dr. Johnny Skinz’s Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head. That album was eventually released under the simpler name I’m With You (although you may know it better by the name That Terrible New Red Hot Chili Peppers Album )
