Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has signed a deal with CBS TV to produce and star in a new sit-com, which will possibly be called Douchebag. Seriously, this is real!
According to Deadline Hollywood, the half-hour comedy project “centers around a rock legend looking for balance between his high profile lifestyle and trying to raise a family”.
Durst’s manager John Schneider is also developing a family comedy inspired by his brother’s real-life experiences. Yes, Fred Durst’s manager is Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo star Rob Schneider’s brother. Again, this is real!
This won’t be Durst’s first foray into acting as he has appeared in two episodes of House playing a bartender and had a role in the 2005 apocalyptic drama Revelations. Durst has also directed the feature films The Education of Charlie Banks and Ice Cube film The Longshots. He has a third film Pawn Shop Chronicles, an action-comedy described as “wild-goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator” in production.
