Flaming Lips releasing a24-hour track in a human skull
Fri 30th Sep, 2011 in International News
Are The Flaming Lips trying too hard to prove that they really did do a hell of a lot of acid in their early days?
Following the recent release of their six-hour song and band leader Wayne Coyne declaring that he’s keen to collaborate with Ke$ha, the Flaming Lips have announced that they will record a 24-hour track. Weird! And the track will be released on a hard drive in actual human skull. Even weirder!
Coyne says the recording is a work-in-progress, but that “it’s a song about death and it’s a song about fucking and it’s a song about life.” The band plans to release the madness at midnight on Halloween. Ok guys, we get it: you’re crazy.
