Radiohead's first remix album

Reminding us once again that their influence extends beyond smart, rafter-reaching rock and into the depths of electronic sub-scenes, Radiohead has spent much of 2011 bolstering their The King Of Limbs LP with wonderful remixed versions.

Now according to fan blog At Ease the band is collecting all those revisions for a remix compendium appropriately titled RADIOHEAD TKOL RMX.

The compilation will round up those previously released reworkings by Caribou and by Mark Pritchard, working both under his own name and as Harmonic 313 plus mixes by SBTRKT, Modeselektor and Jamie XX. Strangely the tracklist doesn’t include any mixes by Flying Lotus, who announced in May that he was remixing tracks from The King Of Limbs.

I think this will be good.
I'm no fan of generic club remixes, but I doubt this will be anything like that.
I really enjoyed the Thom Yorke remix album too.

Firstly, Radiohead have been experimenting with and making electronic music for years. Thom in particular has collaborated with numerous revered names in electronica (Four Tet and Modeselektor, for example, who both happen to appear on this remix album). Not to mention:

Modeselektor is a favourite group of Thom Yorke (frontman of Radiohead),[3] who has recommended their albums in interviews

So your suggestion that this is an attempted cash crab is ill informed. Also, the remixes all appear to be of tracks on the latest album (ie. their new crap, not their old crap). So once again, eat a dick, sir.

There is a site called soundcloud for wannabes to remix shit, and you can download that crap for free. This also helps Jose realise that Metallica made new songs, not redid old shit. Sticking to a genre or style isn't remixing.

Also the fact that it came out quickly after the new Album only helps to state, that it definitely is a cash grab, because the new Album hasn't done as good as they thought. "Quick remix that shit, so we can make something off the shit" is what they yelled. It's actually lame to think that they are that cool they need to remix their shit already. Once a song is Remixed it is the old version, do you get it yet moron?

By the way, what a shit way of trying to portay that Metallica, is worst then Radiohead.

Metallica rewrote and combined their music with a symphony orchestra, some of the most technical music in the world.

I just don't think they are as big or as technically wonderful as you all do, but i can accept this is because I don't like them. I understand that Radiohead are one of your favourites on this site. I understand this is why you hold them in high regard and why you may be blinded to their imperfections, or what i see as less then good.

The problem is that many of you do this to others on a regular basis and you also make fun of them, when they get upset at you, attacking their favourite bands. How can I be a troll and yet your all not? I think it's quite funny as you lot get way more upset then most, when your bands are attacked. If people were posting pictures of Thom Yorke's head tattooed to their back, then your tidal wave-esque keyboard ranting would be warranted.
