Nick Oliveri, the former Queens of the Stone Age bassist and leader of Mondo Generator, has been arrested after a standoff with a police S.W.A.T team at his home in Hollywood.
TMZ reports that “sources close to the couple” claim that “Nick’s girlfriend told police the rocker struck her during an argument the day before … and she had come back to the home to collect her stuff so she could move out. That’s when the two got into another heated argument … and Nick locked themselves inside the duplex.
A S.W.A.T. team was called to the scene and a two hour standoff ensued before Oliveri gave himself up to police. According to TMZ police searched the property and found a fully loaded high powered rifle. Oliveri has been released after posting $100,000 bail on felony domestic violence charges.
