Noel Gallagher's High FlyingBirds

Noel Gallagher has announced full details of his solo debut album Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at a press conference in London.
The ex-Oasis guitarist announced that his first post Oasis album will be released on his own label Sour Mash Records on October 17 and will be followed up by a collaboration with psychedelic rock group Amorphous Androgynous (aka The Future Sound of London) in 2012.
High Flying Birds will feature ten new songs and was produced by Gallagher with Dave Sardy (Wolfmother, Monster Magnet, Children Collide). The record will feature contributions from ex-Oasis keyboard player Mike Rowe, The Lemon Trees’ Jeremy Stacey, percussionist Lenny Castro (The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Elton John), the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings.
Noel had also revealed at the press conference that he left Oasis following a fight about Liam’s clothing range Pretty Green. Liam wanted to advertise the rags in the band’s tour programme and Noel initially refused and then told his brother he’d have to pay to advertise, which led to the argument that ended the band. Noel claims that Liam wielded a guitar like an axe” and “nearly took his face off” during the spat.
Following the press conference, Liam Gallagher took to his rarely used Twitter account to sum up his thoughts on the announcement with the succinct comment: “SHITBAG”.
