Update:
Listen to the new Arcade Fire songs Speaking In Tongues, which features Talking Heads’ David Byrne, and Culture War.
The all conquering album The Suburbs, which collected Grammy and Brit awards for the Arcade Fire, will be re-released in August with two previously unreleased tracks, including a collaboration with Talking Heads’ David Byrne.
The package will include the full Spike Jonze-directed film Scenes from the Suburbs, a booklet featuring 80 pages of photos from the film shoot, an extended take on Wasted Hours (A Life That We Can Live), and the two new tracks Speaking In Tongues and Culture War, with “additional vocals” provided by Byrne.
The former Talking Heads leader has been a friend of the indie stars for many years and joined them on stage for a cover of This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) back in 2005.
The band was also recently joined on stage by Cyndi Lauper for a take on her classic Girl Just Want To Have Fun.
Now how about a tour, huh?
