Radiohead NOT releasing asequel to ‘King of Limbs’

The hopes of Radiohead quickly releasing a sequel to King of Limbs, mirroring the quick-fire release of Amnesiac less than a year after Kid A, have been dashed by guitarist Ed O’Brien.
Conspiracy theorists had pointed to the lyrics of the album’s final track Separator “And if you think this is over/Then you’re wrong” suggesting that the song would act as a ‘separator’ two releases and suggested that as the pre-ordered copies of the album will arrive on two clear 10” vinyl records there’s room for more King of Limbs songs on the records.
However O’Brien says that “There are [other] songs that we have started, that we never finished, but there’s not like seven or eight finished songs waiting in the wings to be released now, or in the autumn, or something… When we start a new record, we tend to start afresh. It’s kind of an evolutionary thing – only the fittest survive.”
The band is releasing a new single for Record Store Day tomorrow, with two new songs The Butcher and Supercollider. According to O’Brien these are the only two leftover songs from the session that will be released.
