Arcade Fire will have to stock up on brass polish after following their shock Grammys win by collecting two Brit awards. Seriously who are these guys?

Upsets at the awards included Take That defeating Biffy Clyro, Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons and The XX for the title of best British band; Tinie Tempah beating Album of the Year winners Mumford & Sons and Mercury prize winners The XX to win the British Breakthrough Act award; and although Justin Beiber went home empty handed at the Grammys, he managed to edge out contenders including The National and The Temper Trap to take the honours for International Breakthrough artist.
