Neil Young Vs Beiber! Celine Dion Vs Broken Social Scene! Caribou nominated for in the New Artist category for his fifth album! The nominations for the Canadian version of the ARIA’s – the Juno awards – have been announced.

The Arcade Fire will perform at the awards presentation on Sunday 27th March and won the nods in the Best Album and Best Alternative Album categories plus Best Group, Best Songwriter and Producer of the Year. The artwork for latest album, The Suburbs, also received a nomination in the race for the title of Recording Package Of The Year. They’ll face stiff competition in the Best Alternative Album category from Broken Social Scene, Owen Pallett, Tokyo Police Club and Polaris prize winners Karkwa.

With six nominations, rapper Drake is in the running to take home the most awards and will also host the awards ceremony, while Justin Bieber, Broken Social Scene and pop-rock group Hedley all picked up four nominations. Other notable nominees include Billy Talent, Metric, Rush, Cancer Bats, Buck 65, Owen Pallett, Holy Fuck, Crystal Castles and Tokyo Police Club.
