Bloc Party back together forChristmas

The Bloc Party crew got back together over the Christmas period, indicating that the group’s hiatus may be ending sooner than expected.
A photo of frontman Kele Okereke, bassist Gordon Moakes, guitarist Russel Lissack and drummer Matt Tong was posted on their official Twitter site, with ‘Merry Christmas from the Bloc. X’. It’s the first post on the band’s Twitter for over two months, as the boys have spent the past 18 months focusing on side projects.
In June this year Okereke had raised doubts about Bloc Party reuniting, telling NME that their future was far from certain. “Who knows how we’ll feel about anything in a year’s time? I’m not very good at restarting things in my personal life – like if I break up with someone, I tend to close the door”.
Okereke released his solo electro album The Boxer earlier this year. Meanwhile, Moakes has been working with hardcore band Young Legionnaire and Lissack has joined forces with duo Pin Me Down. Lissack has also been keeping busy as the touring guitarist for Ash.
