Indie supergroup starringHollywood star

Modest Mouse’s Joe Plummer, Islands’ Nick Thorburn and Man Man’s Honus Honus have united to form the supergroup Mister Heavenly, which is damn cool news for fans of yelping indie rock.

After signing to Sub Pop, the band has headed out on the road to open shows for Passion Pit and revealed a fourth member – movie star Michael Cera – who joins them to play an adorable yet socially awkward indie kid and bass guitar.

Fanboys will be quick to point out that this isn’t Cera’s indie rock debut, as the versatile actor has tackled roles in Scott Pilgrim, playing bass for the fictional Sex Bob-omb, and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, where he was a vital member of the Jerk-offs.

Juno is a load of crap. Diablo Cody just wrote an average screenplay, then littered it with 'shizzle' and 'izzle.' Hardly Oscar winning stuff... oh... wait. :/

well I didn't really get into him right away but after watching youth in revolt, Nick and Norah, some arrested development all in a week I took a liking.

But his interview on conan was the real winner, he was genuinely funny, now I'm a fan.

Scott pilgrim is just a bonus.

Judging by the way he played Bass in Scott Pilgrim, I'm gonna guess No. The bass solo play off bit in the movie was terrible.

To be fair to him though, they may have asked him to play really badly.

^^ the bass in Nick and Norah is good, now when I think about it, I think about 90% of his movies he plays some sort if musical part lol

It wasn't just the film that made juno awesome it was the cast also, no one in scott pilgrim exceeds jason bateman and ellen page in the one film, plus ellen page >mary
in terms of babe factor and acting skills.

I do have a thing for Ellen Page, she's in my top 10. winstead is also uber sexy though.

but I find bateman annoying, I think I'm more partial to the sp cast, Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, schwartzman, culkin, much better.

Anna Kendrick is the only reason any sane person should watch the twilight films tbqh, she's in some new film with joseph gordon levitt next year, also has seth rogen sounds pretty promising.

First time writer, and a director who hasnt had any big hits - A comedic account of a 25-year-old guy's cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease.

The only thing that makes me want to see this is JGL, and that probably wont be enough...

Brick is ony of my favourite films - I'd heard it was 'HIgh school noir', but I had no idea just how completely and totally Rian Johnson had commited to the merging of those two genres.

Brothers Bloom was good, but not great,

Can't wait for his next film, he's teaming up with Gordon-Levitt again, and Bruce Willis, and making a film about time-jumping assassins. Hello!

it should be re releaesd given the director has a new movie out and levitt's fame after inception, it has michelle trachtenberg from gossip girl/buffy and that cheesy high school movie eurotrip, she grew up to be quite the babe.

i too recall when 500 days of summer was first released didn't even sell out the debut screening at the sydney film festival, but i guess that was before zooey got big due to frankie magazine and hipsters and levitt got labelled 'the next heath ledger' by the media.
