Coldplay tired of “playingit safe”

Coldplay, the best band of all time according to Kanye West, is readying a fifth album inspired by the “graffiti art of the ‘70s in New York, where people were expressing themselves with paint”.
Frontman Chris Martin told Q magazine that after spending “a lot of my life playing it a bit safe or conforming to something, even though I didn’t agree with it. I have great respect and admiration for people who don’t. It’s about being free to be yourself and express yourself among negative surroundings. Being able to speak out or follow your passion, even if everybody seems against it.”
The band has fifteen songs ready for the new record including Up With The Birds, Hurts Like Heaven and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, but the first taste of new Coldplay will come with the release of the seasonal single Christmas Lights later this week.
