Garbage reunite for new album

Shirley Manson has confirmed that Garbage have reunited and are set to release their first album since 2005.
Manson made the announcement while talking to students at the University of the West of Scotland about planning a career in the music industry.
Sitting beside her new husband, producer Billy Bush (Green Day, Limp Bizkit, Korn and Muse), Manson told the students that she’s “working on a record right now with the band. We’ve recorded quite a lot, but it’s difficult to quantify. It’s the first one in a long time. I took about five years off. I’d like to do some touring next year.”
Garbage went on hiatus shortly after releasing 2005’s Bleed Like Me album and although Manson recorded a solo album with Lily Allen producer Greg Kurstin it was ever released following a dispute with her record company.
