Coldplay, Radiohead put fansto sleep

Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Radiohead are among the bands most likely to send you to sleep.

The shocking discoveries come in a survey conducted by Travelodge. The budget chain of hotels cuts costs by refusing to offer guests biscuits, hairdryers or even telephone in its rooms, but somehow found the money to fund the groundbreaking research.

The research found 84% of people asked listen to music help them sleep, with 13% of respondents claiming that they have “nice dreams” because of it.

The Top 10 acts most likely to help people fall asleep:
1. Coldplay
2. Michael Buble
3. Snow Patrol
4. Alicia Keys
5. Jack Johnson
6. Taylor Swift
7. Mozart
8. Barry White
9. Leona Lewis
10. Radiohead

Are you really questioning Radioheads ability to put anyone to sleep? One of the reasons I like them is that it's great music to go to sleep to.

the band, not a race of people with supernatural ability to pick up radio waves with their mind. though sometimes they will come to poor insominiac's rooms at night and lull them to sleep in exchange for a foot massage and a biscuit.

I like repititive stuff to go to sleep too. Simple verse chorus verse chorus and repetitive beats. Usually metal, strangely enough.

Anything complicated and clever, i cant help listening to.

Cant sleep to anything but silence, which sucks. A lot of the time I'll wear earplugs to sleep.

I find it harder to sleep with silence. Too used to falling asleep with music.

i found over the last summer that if i stayed anywhere other than home and i wasnt really tired, i couldn't sleep unless there was a fan going. it became such routine to sleep while hearing that constant gentle buzz that for a couple of weeks after i didnt want to use a fan anymore i had to turn it on and face it at the ceiling.

For me, I can't sleep without a dvd on. Usually putting on a simpsons or futurama one does best. Over the many many years, I think it may have effected me a bit too much.. Worth it though. Having audio commentaries are great as well. For some reason I like goign to sleep with the sound of people talking

radiohead are pretty dull at the best of times, and i'm allowed to say that since 80% of my mates are confused... i mean, like radiohead ............... (why isn't james blunt on the list?)

I used to love an arvo nanna nap to the Cocteau Twins or Julee Cruise/Twin Peaks soundtrack, would be asleep halfway through without fail...
