MCR join Weezer and go 'na na'

My Chemical Romance had a disrupted start to 2010 with leadman Gerard Way’s “severe vocal difficulties” preventing them from playing at Soundwave and drummer Bob Bryar leaving the band in February
The band’s frontman Gerard Way has now admitted Radio 1’s Zane Lowe that initially the recording sessions for their new album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys “The vibe wasn’t good. Everything up to that point, it felt like we’d kind of been in this kind of hiatus. As artists that really equals death. [But] the spirit is back. It took a little while to figure out who and what the band is and re-embrace that, as opposed to turn our back on it.”
As they prepare to release the follow up to their 2006 concept album The Black Parade, they’ve just released a lead single with the wonderfully repetitive title Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) and have joined their heroes Weezer on stage in Hollywood to play My Name Is Jonas.
