Muse has been named as the best ever cover act with their version of Nina Simone’s Feeing Good.

Over 15,000 NME readers voted in the poll, with Muse beating beating The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and others for the title.

Britney Spears’ limp attempt at performing I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll was voted as the worst cover song of all time, ahead other comedic embarrassments including Ronan Keating’s Fairytale of New York, Take That’s take on Smells Like Teen Spirit and Mark Ronson’s ‘interesting’ take No One Knows and the abomination that is Celine Dion’s butchering of You Shook Me All Night Long.
