A Perfect Circle return
Thu 5th Aug, 2010 in International News
Several members of supergroup A Perfect Circle have announced that the group is back and will be “doing stuff” soon.
Founding member Billy Howerdel announced on Twitter that “The APC dust is shaking off!”.
Josh Freese, currently the drummer with both Devo and Weezer, followed Howerdel’s lead by posting a note on Facebook announcing “I’m happy to report that A Perfect Circle is waking up from it’s 6 year slumber…and we’re going to be “doing stuff” soon.”
A Perfect Circle’s official Twitter then posted an update saying “Go tell Aunt Rosie… The old grey goose is dead not” with links to the Twitter accounts of band members Howerdel, Freese, Maynard James Keenan, Troy Van Leeuwen, Matt McJunkins, Danny Lohner and Paz Lenchantin.
The group’s Twitter also posed the question “ James Iha Where ya at?” hinting that former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist, who joined A Perfect Circle on tour in 2003, could also be part of the reunion.
Though an EP of songs recorded in 1999-2000 Deep Cuts was released last year, the most recent album from supergroup was 2004’s Emotive.
