The Darkness have reformed, plan to tour in 2011

The Darkness split in 2006 when lead singer Justin Hawkins left to battle drink and drug addictions and then form the glam-rock group Hot Leg.
However, earlier this year all four Darkness members were reunited by the birth of drummer Ed Graham’s son. As a unnamed source told The Sun “Dan and Justin’s falling out was a very bitter affair. They didn’t speak for almost half a decade. But spending time with Ed and his family has reminded them all how close they once were.”
The Sun reported back in May that The Darkness had returned to the studio to demo new material, noting that the band planned to permanently reform if “their [new] stuff is liked by label staff”.
It now seems that the label bosses like what they’ve been hearing and, feeling the love, the quartet have begun rehearsals and hope to head out on the road by this time next year.
