Bat For Lashes and Beck albumcollaboration?

While Jamie Lidell may have criticised Beck’s contributions to his new album Compass, musing that it “didn’t really work out,” it seems that other artists are quick to collaborate with the alternative rocker.

Indie musician Stephen Malkmus reportedly worked with Beck earlier this year, and UK songstress Bat For Lashes (Natasha Khan) may recruit Beck for her next album. The two co-wrote the track Let’s Get Lost for the Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, which features Beck’s trademark electronics interwoven with Bat For Lashes’ romantic lyrics.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Khan said of the song, “It turned out great, and I’m really proud of it. So I’m just branching out, trying to be inspired by different things and collaborate a bit and just nourish the artist.”

When asked if she would consider collaborating with Beck again, Khan responded, “Yes, possibly. He’s got great creative ideas.”

A follow-up to her 2009 album may be in the works. Though she says she has enough material to put out another album, Khan plans to travel and work on other projects before settling down to write again.
