Liam Gallagher producingBeatles film
Mon 10th May, 2010 in International News
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has announced that he’ll be producing a film adaptation of the book The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider’s Diary of the Beatles, Their Million Dollar Apple Empire and Its Wild Rise and Fall.
The book was written by Richard DiLello, the “house hippie” or Client Liaison Officer at the Beatles’ record company Apple and the book charts the years between 1967 and the breakup of the Beatles in 1970.
Liam and his brother Noel are both huge fans of the book, which Noel has described as “fucking brilliant”.
Though Noel obviously won’t be involved in the film, Liam will be working in partnership with Revolution Films, run by producer Andrew Eaton and director Michael Winterbottom ( 24 Hour Party People ).
Cast, director and writer have yet to be decided, which sets us up for another round of 2010’s fastest growing game – “Cast that musical Biopic” (See Ozzy Osbourne and Kurt Cobain)
