Jeff Buckley on Broadway

Jeff Buckley is set to join Green Day, ABBA, Queen and hair metal on Broadway with his music set to score a new show based on Romeo and Juliet.

Michael Kimmel, a New York director and theatre professor began work on the musical, The Last Goodbye, three years ago and uses Buckley’s songs to tell the tale of ill-fated love so loved by Year Nine English teachers.

According to Kimmel, “Jeff’s music takes this idea of young emotion and passion to an entirely different level that we haven’t seen with the play before. What I love about the show is that it’s this great merging of a really strong writer and an amazing musician.”
