Damon Albarn joins MassiveAttack

It’s only a matter of weeks now until Massive Attack lands in Perth, and we know to expect a stunning line-up of vocalists. However, sometimes you just can’t go up against the UK. When the trip-hop troupe came to Hammersmith Apollo in London last week, there was a very special guest waiting in the wings.

Having lent his brooding vocals to Heliogoland track Saturday Comes Slow, Damon Albarn appeared in the encore to carry that song and Splitting The Atom. According to NME, Massive Attack mastermind 3D introduced Albarn as “partly responsible for the latest record”.
