The Strokes aiming forSeptember

As FasterLouder looks ahead to the good things still to come in 2010, New York trendsetters The Strokes have put a tentative finishing line on their next album. Speaking with BBC Newsbeat this week, Fab Moretti bravely speculated that the record will be out “hopefully around September”.
This news is sure to give fans hope, given it has been four years since First Impressions of Earth arrived to a mixed reception. According to Moretti, all is going swimmingly. “We’ve been recording a bunch – basic tracks are done,” he enthused. “Now we’re just running around like kids in a candy shop.”
