Muse confirmed for Glastonbury

Fresh from leading The Resistance down under, Muse is set to join U2 as one of the headliners for this year’s Glastonbury bender.
Organiser Michael Eavis told the Event Production Show in London that the operatic rockers will take the Saturday night honours. Eavis also suggested that soul legend Stevie Wonder is likely play the final night.
Glastonbury has been a bittersweet occasion for Muse. At the 2004 event, with Absolution at its peak, the three-piece played a storming set to close the festival on the Pyramid Stage, only to later find out that Dominic Howard’s father had died backstage of a heart attack.
This year’s slot comes at the tail-end of an enormous European tour for Muse, which also includes top billing at Rock Werchter and Roskilde Festival.
