As the Pixies’ – œDoolittle’ Australian tour draws ever closer, frontman Frank Black has announced details of the next Black Francis record. Following on from 2008’s mini-album Svn Fngrs, NonStopErotik is due out 5 April in the US.

Fittingly, NonStopErotik comes with an intriguing back-story – if Black’s self-penned press release is to be believed. The album came together in Brooklyn, Los Angeles and a “haunted studio in London”.

“I wrote many a couplet by candlelight in the studio accommodation, slept very little, and only felt the need to get the fuck out of there fast on the last night,” the spiel reads. You can read it in full over at The Quietus.
